In the minors, both Pawtucket and Portland enjoyed walk-off wins on Wednesday.
Che-Hsuan Lin, who knocked in Pawtucket's only other run with a sacrifice fly, singled in Nate Spears in the bottom of the ninth, for a 2-1 win over Lehigh Valley.
The Lehigh starter was former Sea Dogs pitcher Nate Bump, who will turn 35 on Sunday. Bump went 6 IP (6 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K).
Portland got three home runs - Ryan Khoury's second, Will Middlebrooks' 12, and Mitch Dening's fourth, which came in the bottom of the ninth, for a 10-9 win.
Anthony Ranaudo (4.38) made another start for Salem: 5 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 4 H.
