So, Andrew Miller may not be ready for full-time duty in the rotation. The Red Sox fell into second place in the AL East. But the Rays also lost, so Boston still inched closer to the playoffs.
AL East
New York 83-53
Boston 83-54 (0.5 back)
Tampa Bay 74-63 (9.5)
Red Sox magic number for the playoffs: 17 (combination of Boston wins and Tampa Bay losses).
Erik Bedard goes for his first Red Sox win today (remember the Boston game is now at 4 p.m. because FOX picked up the telecast).
At Hadlock Field tonight at 6 p.m., the Sea Dogs go for win No. 60. It is also One-Hit Wonder night. Can't wait to hear the tunes. Hoping someone brings that Bruce Cockburn classic.
Wondering Where The Lions Are.
It will be stuck in my head all day.
