The Red Sox take Thursday off and hope the Yankees and Blue Jays help them out (the New Yorkers may be a bit apathetic after clinching the division).
The Rays' Jeff Niemann (11-7, 3.95) was scheduled to pitch, but rookie Matt Moore may get the ball against New York and Bartolo Colon (8-9, 3.81)
The Angels' Ervin Santana (11-12, 3.40) opposes Toronto and Henderson Alvarez (1-2, 3.62)
