Felix Doubront has 13 strikeouts in 10 innings. He also has allowed 13 hits, 4 walks and six runs.
Doubront's biggest test of the season comes today against the Yankees in a 4 p.m. game on FOX. He is averaging only 5 innings a start and he won't get to the fifth today if he does not command his pitches (i.e., the Yankees will make him throw strikes).
Boston is on a four-game losing streak, having last won on Doubront's start last Sunday (he did not factor in the decision).
The Yankees will bring out the struggling Freddy Garcia (0-1, 6.95).
