It was another feel-good moment for the Red Sox which, unfortunately, took place before the game.
As part of the 100-year Fenway Park anniversary celebration the 2004 World Series title team was brought back (Duck Boats and all).
It may have been more fitting for this to happen in 2014 - the 10 year anniversary of the championship - but the Red Sox need all the good feelings they can get.
This 2012 team finishes up its home schedule tonight. And old Fenway just has not been the magical place it was it used to be. See TODAY'S COLUMN.
As for today, and the rest of the week, I will be on the Appalachian Trail, i.e. offline.
I'll try to check back Sunday.
