NEW YORK — Greetings from Opening Day.
While the big news Sunday was the official addition of Jackie Bradley Jr. to the roster, the big news today will be how Jon Lester performs for the Red Sox. If the Boston Red Sox are to turn their fortunes around, pitching has to come through. See today’s story.
If you are new to the Jackie Bradley Jr. bandwagon, you will want to check out our feature on Bradley last year when he was with the Portland Sea Dogs.
In Portland, we enjoy seeing several future Red Sox come through. Below are former Sea Dogs on the Opening Day roster:
Ryan Dempster (1998)
Jon Lester (2005)
Dustin Pedroia (2005)
Jacoby Ellsbury (2006-07)
Clay Buchholz (2007-08)
Daniel Nava (2009)
Felix Doubront (2009-10)
Junichi Tazawa (2009, 11)
Jose Iglesias (2010)
Will Middlebrooks (2011)
Jackie Bradley Jr. (2012)
