We take a quick look at the potential of left-handed Henry Owens in today's column.

Another prospect is pitching in Portland today. Matt Barnes is on the mound and his catcher for the early innings will be Boston's David Ross, on the second day of his rehab appearance with the Sea Dogs.

A few highlights from Saturday night: Will Middlebrooks returned to Boston, going 2-for-4 ... Brandon Workman recorded his best relief outing in the majors: 1 1/3 IP, 2 H, 3 K (20 pitches/15 strikes) ... Jackie Bradley Jr. (.278) went 2-for-4 with Pawtucket, hitting his ninth home run ... Allen Webster (6-4, 3.97) got the win: 5 1/3 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 6 K.

In Portland, speedy outfielder Marry Johnson (.273) went 4-for-5. He hit a line drive to the RC gap which would have been a double for most. But with a motor like Johnson's, he reached third easily ... Christian Vazquez (.281) went 2-for-5 ... Garin Cecchni went 1-for-4 with a walk. He's batting .289, but with a .415 OBP.
