Trenton used another three-run homer to beat the Portland Sea Dogs in the second game, for a sweep of their doubleheader Saturday.
Portland led 2-0 on a Yamaico Navarro two-run single, but Sea Dogs starter Jeremy Kehrt finally ran out of gas. After throwing a two-hitter over four innings, Kehrt allowed four hits in the fifth, including Justin Snyder's three-run homer.
Second baseman Nate Spears played both games and reached base seven times in nine plate appearances - 3 singles, home run, two hit-batters and a walk. He is batting .279, and his on-base percentage is .429.
The Sea Dogs and Trenton play again Sunday at 1 p.m. Red Sox outfielder Mike Cameron is expected to play for Portland.
