Left-handed reliever Mitch Herold joined the Sea Dogs today from Class A Salem. Herold, 23, a 16th-round draft pick out of the University of Central Florida, was dominating in Class A with a 1.05 ERA in 11 games (25 2/3 innings, 17 K, 4 BB).
Jeremy Kehrt, who started on Saturday, has been sent back to Salem.
Herold appears here to stay which means today's starter, Robert Coello, is staying in the rotation, at least temporarily. His previous 10 appearances have been in relief (3.38 ERA).
Today marks the final rehab appearance of outfielder Mike Cameron in Portland. He will lead off and play center field.
Here are the Red Sox and Sea Dogs lineups:
BOSTON: Ellsbury CF; Pedroia 2B; Martinez C; Youkilis 1B; Drew RF; Beltre 3B; Hermida LF; Scutaro SS; Wakefield P
PORTLAND: Cameron CF; Lin RF; Spears 2B; Exposito C; Rizzo 1B; Navarro 3B; Iglesias SS; Chiang DH; Sheely LF; (Coello P)
