Mike Cameron made quite an impression the Portland Sea Dogs during his rehab stint.
His stay here was capped nicely with a walk-off home run to lead off the bottom of the 10th inning, as the Sea Dogs beat Trenton 7-6 Sunday at Hadlock Field..
Cameron worked the count full and then swatted a fastball over the wall in left center.
Mobbed by his temporary teammates at home plate, Cameron then got the full "treatment" in the clubhouse while talking to a reporter. Catcher Luis Exposito slapped paper plate full of shaving cream on Cameron's bald head. He laughed.
Cameron is headed to Boston. He said he is flying out Monday to join the Red Sox in St. Petersburg, Fla. No word on when he will be activated.
