Welcome to Hadlock Field where the Sea Dogs are scheduled to play 1.5 games tonight, completing a suspended game with the Reading Phillies, then followed with a 9-inning game. The suspended game will resume in the top of the sixth inning with Portland leading 6-4.
Add in Saturday's doubleheader and Sunday's 9-inning game, the two teams are scheduled to play 36 innings over three days - weather pending.
Shortstop Jose Iglesias remains out with a bruised hand. He has done some fielding (with limited throwing) and light hitting. He may be getting the hand re-tested soon, and we will try to keep you updated on that.
The Sea Dogs lineups for the suspended game is the same as the one in May with one exception (Ryan Khoury in for Iglesias). Stephen Fife was the starting pitcher. Tommy Hottovy will be relieving him in the bottom of the sixth.
Sea Dogs: Spears 2B; Lin CF; Chang DH; Exposito C; Rizzo 1B; Navarro SS; Khoury 3B; Chiang LF; Sheely RF; (Hottovy P)
Kyle Weiland is scheduled to pitch the full game later.
The Red Sox lineup, courtesy of boston.com, is: Scutaro SS; Pedroia 2B; Ortiz DH; Youkilis 1B; Martinez C; Drew RF; Beltre 3B; Hermida LF; Hall CF; (Buchholz P)
I'll check back with the results of the suspended game.Tweet
