Top pitching prospect Casey Kelly finally got a win with the Portland Sea Dogs in his 11th start, as the Sea Dogs beat Reading 6-0 Saturday night at Hadlock Field.
Kelly pitched six innings, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out four. He threw 83 pitches, 51 for strikes.
Jason Rice closed the game with a scoreless seventh. It was the first game of a doubleheader Saturday (minor league doubleheader games are 7 innings).
Kelly (1-3) now has a 4.57 ERA.
Ray Chang and Anthony Rizzo homered in the game. It was Rizzo's fifth home run in 24 games with Portland.
