Alex Wilson has been activated from the disabled list and officially promoted from Class A Salem. Wilson, the second-round draft pick in 2009, is scheduled to pitch Wednesday's game.
The Sea Dogs took care of their 6-man rotation by putting Ryne Miller in the bullpen. Miller, who was a reliever before this year, was 2-4 with a 6.18 ERA as a starter.
The match-up of the week will be Friday when Casey Kelly opposes Akron and former Sox prospect Nick Hagadone.
Shortstop Jose Iglesias remains out with a bone bruise on his right hand. Sea Dogs manager Arnie Beyeler said Iglesias will be going to Boston to have his hand re-evaluated. "He's better today," Beyeler said. "But it's a severe bone bruise. It's going to need some time."
Meanwhile, in Boston, reports are that shortstop Marco Scutaro is out after receiving treatment for a pinched nerve in his neck. The latest sensation, Daniel Nava, will be leading off tonight.
Here are the lineups for the Sox and Dogs:
BOSTON: Nava LF; Pedroia 2B; Ortiz DH; Youkilis 1B; Martinez C; Drew RF; Beltre 3B; Hall SS; Cameron CF; (Buchholz P)
PORTLAND: Lin CF; Khoury 2B; Chang 3B; Exposito C; Rizzo 1B; Navarro SS; Chiang LF; Vazquez DH; Sheely RF; (Weiland P)
I'll check in later.
