Halfway through the 2010 season, the Boston Red Sox are 49-42..
Boston should be on its way to the playoffs as long as the Red Sox get their injured players back, AND the bullpen comes through. For more on the Red Sox relievers, see the story in today's Maine Sunday Telegram.
Included in the story are some of solutions the Red Sox may find within the organization. One outside possibility is Robert Coello, the converted catcher who was signed by the Red Sox before last season. Coello began this season in Portland and has moved on to Pawtucket, where he is dominating at times.
On Saturday, Coello threw 6 1/3 scoreless innings (3 H, 1 BB, 9 K) ... Ryan Kalish (.286) had two hits.
Also in the Telegram is the Sunday column, featuring Dusty Brown.
Happy Fourth.
