Kevin Youkilis had the game-tying double, and the game-winning sacrifice fly.
But the other standout in Boston's 3-2 win Saturday night over Texas and Cliff Lee was the Red Sox pitching.
John Lackey: 7 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 3 K
Daniel Bard, Jonathan Papelbon and Manny Delcarmen combined for four no-hit innings.
Now Boston has Jon Lester going today. Clay Buchholz is scheduled to come back for a start Wednesday.
With Buchholz up, Felix Doubront went down. Maybe he could be a reliever for later this season. See Sunday's column.
Josh Beckett pitched for Pawtucket (81 pitches/51 strikes). The results were so-so (4-plus innings, 5 H, 3 R, 1 BB, 3 K). We'll see what the Red Sox say about another rehab start, or throwing Beckett back into the majors.
Lars Anderson kept his hot bat with the PawSox, going 2-for-4. He's batting .269 (.368 in his last 10 games).
Che-Hsuan Lin (.265) went 4-for-5 for Portland ... Both Anthony Rizzo (.252) and Ryan Lavarnway had two hits. It was Lavarnway's second game in Double-A ... Jeremy Hermida went 1-for-3 in his rehab start as the DH.
Lowell's Kolbrin Vitek (.300) went 2-for-5.
I'll check back later from Fenway.
