NEW FACES

• Lee Auchincloss was hired as sales manager at Home Remedies in Portland.

Auchincloss has over 15 years of experience selling distinctive home furnishings.

•  Christine Grant was hired as program manager of youth development services at Day One in South Portland.

Grant most recently worked at Crossroads as program manager of residential rehabilitation.

Elizabeth Bunten also joined Day One as an outpatient clinician. She has been a clinician at Merrymeeting Behavioral Health.

•  Kevin O’Hara was hired as a senior information specialist at Burns & McDonnell.

O’Hara joins the firm’s business and technology services group. He will be working on several mega-scale projects, including the Maine Power Reliability Program, where Burns & McDonnell serves as program manager.

Previously, O’Hara was owner of TimePiece Project Solutions.

•  Matthew Chin joined Goodwill Industries of Northern New England as executive vice president of operations.

Chin has more than 25 years of leadership experience in sales, marketing, finance and information technology. Most recently, he worked for Fairchild Semiconductor.

PROMOTIONS

•  Peter Bartlett was promoted to vice president, account management and business development at Competitive Energy Services.

Bartlett has over 25 years of experience in the industry. He was previously a senior account executive with the company.

•  Paul Collins was promoted to lead commercial lending officer for Androscoggin Bank’s southern Maine region.

He has been a commercial loan officer with Androscoggin Bank since May 2012. During that time, he has become one of Portland’s busiest and highest-producing young lenders. He works from the bank’s location on Middle Street in Portland.

•  Lawrence Clough, of Jensen Baird Gardner & Henry, was named as the 2014 Real Estate “Lawyer of the Year” for Portland by The Best Lawyers in America.

Clough has practiced in Portland since 1975, representing lenders, developers and condominium/homeowner associations.

•  The Town of Poland was named Maine’s newest “Certified Business-Friendly” community.

Poland joins 24 other Maine cities and towns that have earned “Certified Business-Friendly” status. Earning this distinction requires multiple high-quality traits, from customer-service and business collaboration, to licensing, permitting, and public input.

•  Maine Coast Memorial Hospital was named a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in America.

The hospital was recognized for exemplary performance in using evidence-based clinical processes that are shown to improve care for certain conditions.

•  Jason Parent, manager of the Portland location of Harmon’s & Barton’s Florist, placed second in a statewide floral design competition held in Bangor by the Maine State Florist Association.

He has been with Harmon’s & Barton’s for 11 years.

•  Blinds by Design announced the launch of www.BlindsByDesign.us, an informational portal with educational resources for information such as property value benefits from custom blind installation. Users can also learn about advances in faux wood blind construction that can save consumers hundreds of dollars.
