• Jeffrey Wall was hired as the director of business development for iCST.
Wall brings over 15 years of technology sales experience and over seven years in technical staffing and business development.
Robert Caron also was recently hired as a technical recruiter for the Portland office. He comes to iCST from St. Mary’s Health System in Lewiston, where he was the human resources business partner and compensation manager.
• Chris Dargie of Standish has joined the Portland Chapter of SCORE, a business resource and mentoring organization
As a certified SCORE volunteer mentor, Dargie will lend his broad range of legal experience with a focus on small-business issues to SCORE participants.
• Aaron Harris was promoted to marketing coordinator at Verrill Dana LLP.
Harris moved to Maine from Illinois in 2001. He graduated from the University of Southern Maine.
• The Maine Department of Labor promoted four employees in the Bureau of Labor Standards: Steve Greeley and Michael LaPlante were promoted to leadership positions in the Workplace Safety and Health Division. Verna Eldridge and Scott Cotnoir were promoted to leadership positions in the Wage and Hour Division.
Greeley was named director of the Workplace Safety and Health Division. Greeley has more than 27 years of experience in the private and public sector. He has worked in the Department of Labor for more than 14 years, most recently as the deputy director of the SafetyWorks! consultation program.
LaPlante was promoted to manager of Workplace Safety and Health. LaPlante has worked at the Labor Department for more than nine years, most recently as supervisor of its Occupational Health and Safety Program. LaPlante has been firefighter with the Farmingdale Fire Department for 34 years, currently serving as the assistant chief.
Eldridge was named director of the Wage and Hour Division in the Bureau of Labor Standards. Eldridge has worked there for more than 29 years. Prior to her work in Labor Standards, she served the department as a field adviser and examiner in the Bureau of Unemployment Compensation’s Employer Services Division.
Cotnoir was promoted to chief inspector of the Wage and Hour Division. He has 16 years of experience with the state, including 12 years with the Department of Labor, most recently as a labor and safety inspector in the Wage and Hour Division. In addition, Cotnoir served 10 years as a police officer with local law enforcement.
• Landry/French Construction was named construction manager for the historic renovation of the Merrill Memorial Library in Yarmouth.
Preconstruction services are underway, with anticipated construction to begin in late winter/spring of 2014. The project is estimated to cost $1.7 million.
• Preti Flaherty was chosen by the town of Brunswick to serve as its legal counsel in a competitive RFP process.
Councilors selected municipal attorney Steve Langsdorf to serve as the town’s lead counsel, expanding on its previous government relations engagement with attorney Andy Cashman.
The firm previously assisted the town with a number of issues related to the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority before the Legislature. Now, Langsdorf will handle all general legal matters for the town.
• Dahl-Chase Pathology Associates PA and Dahl-Chase Diagnostic Services, a Bangor-based physician group and pathology laboratory, has engaged Winxnet as the firm’s first full-service IT partner.
Through the arrangement, Winxnet will support all aspects of information technology needs – from the firm’s PCs, devices and network infrastructure to the EHR and custom software applications.
