Mexico breakfast briefing, 8 to 9:30 a.m. presented by Maine International Trade Center and featuring Mexico’s Consul General in Boston Daniel Hernandez, Portland legal expert on Mexico Sal Savatteri and representatives from the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce and ProMexico in preparation for a state trade mission o Mexico and Colombia Oct. 27 to Nov. 2. The registration deadline is Sept. 7. The briefing will be held at the MITC office, 511 Congress St., Portland.

Junior Achievement of Maine is seeking volunteers for this year’s programs, which are offered to students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Each year, more than 330 business professionals, parents and retirees help students learn about work readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
