Or maybe Portland's got something else to say.
At last the public will know Tuesday how Portland aims to brand itself for tourism and business development.
In April, Mayor Michael Brennan promised a branding campaign that "will put Portland on the map." Since then, the slogan has been under scrutiny by lawyers.
To develop the branding campaign, the city worked with a team of partners including the Portland Regional Chamber, Portland's Downtown District, the Convention + Visitors Bureau and the Creative Portland Corp.
The partners have a website with the tagline "Portland, Maine. Yes. Life's good here." The website, www.liveworkportland.org, is owned by Creative Portland Corp., according to website domain registration firm whois.com.
Portland's spokeswoman Nicole Clegg would not comment on that website or disclose the new slogan. The city will announce the slogan at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the State of Maine Room in City Hall.
"We're excited to share it with the public," Clegg said. "It can't be everything for everyone, but it will be distinctly Portland."
Portland's campaign was developed through donated and volunteered services. At the same time, other Maine municipalities are developing slogans.
Recent branding efforts include the "Biddeford + Saco, Saco + Biddeford: No matter how you say it" campaign. Lewiston and Auburn aim to come up with a campaign to replace or freshen their current slogan, "LA: It's happening here."
