NEW FACES

• Istikram Qaderi, M.D., joined Martin’s Point as the new vice president of quality. Qaderi was previously with Champlain Valley Physician Hospital in Plattsburgh, N.Y., where he served for four years as associate vice president of quality resources. 

Nicole Jacques and Paula Stanton joined CD&M Communications of Portland. Jacques was hired as public relations director. Her role will be to generate new marketing ideas, expand social media reach and foster press relations for the firm. She has worked in the marketing and communications industry since 1999. Stanton was named a traffic manager. She is responsible for the daily management of media and production traffic for clients. 

• Julie Case and Brian Cirone joined Gorham Savings Bank. Case, of Windham, was hired as an assistant vice president and compliance officer. She was previously with M & M Consultants. Cirone, of Standish, was hired as a commercial credit analyst. Cirone most recently worked as a commercial analyst at another financial institution. He has 10 years of banking experience, including seven years on the retail side at Gorham Savings Bank. 

• Barbara Hocking was named the chief nursing officer at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth. Hocking was previously chief nursing officer and chief operating officer at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, Wis. 

• Damon Pawlak joined Fluid Imaging Technologies Inc. in Yarmouth to provide application support in the customer service department. Pawlak, of Westbrook, was previously a senior scientist at Applied Microarrays of Tempe, Ariz.

• David Durkin joined CTG Engineering in Portland as its principal senior designer. Durkin, of Falmouth, has more than 20 years of experience in mechanical engineering design. 

• Dana Marcoux joined J. Henry Salon Inc. in Portland as a hair stylist. Marcoux has more than 35 years of experience at salons such as Vidal Sassoon New York, founded Akari in Portland, and most recently worked as a celebrity hair stylist in Los Angeles. 

• Holly Winger joined Norton Lamb & Company as a senior account executive. Winger worked for IBM for more than 30 years in areas such as systems support, training and project management. 

• Corrie Marinaro, a naturopathic family practice doctor, joined Santini Family Chiropractic in York. 

• John Martin was named general manager of the Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport. Martin has more than 20 years of hospitality experience. He has worked at properties throughout the United States including the Wyndham Hotel in Washington, D.C., Cheeca Lodge in the Florida Keys, the Sudbury Inn in Bethel, and the Kennebunk Inn, which he owned and operated. 

• Hadley Clark joined the Maine Center for Acupunture. Clark is an emergency medical technician with more than 15 years of experience in the health care industry. Clark received her master’s degree in acupuncture and Oriental medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture. She is trained in traditional Chinese and Japanese acupuncture styles and has specialized training in a non-needle style of acupuncture.

• Marc Minkler joined Southern Maine EMS as its new executive director. Minkler has been a student of emergency medical services for more than 22 years. Minkler previously worked for the Medcu division of Portland Fire Department. He also served as a paramedic/firefighter, training officer and lieutenant while working for PFD.

GENERAL

• Getsmetal, LLC, a metal distributor serving Northern New England, has opened a new location on Warren Avenue in Westbrook. Getsmetal specializes in stainless steel, aluminum, carbon and galvanized steel as well as specialty alloys.
