NEW FACES

• Dana Marcoux has joined O2 Salon in Portland. Marcoux opened Akari Hair Salon on Fore Street in 1983. In 1987 he sold the salon and moved to Los Angeles, where he explored dual careers in hair and film. He also taught yoga for 10 years in southern California. Marcoux is now teaching yoga at three studios in Greater Portland.

• Pam Allen was named executive director of Advocates for Children. Allen has more than 20 years of management experience. She retired in 2009 from SeniorsPlus, and later acted as interim director at Common Ties and most recently at Advocates for Children.

• Brittney Markowski was hired as director of marketing and training at Insurance Trust in Westbrook. Markowski had previously hosted Sugarloaf Mountain Resort's local morning television show on WSKI-17.

• Vendean Vafiades, a lawyer, public servant and longtime advocate for justice, joined the University of Maine School of Law as director of advancement and external affairs. Vafiades was previously with the Maine Public Utilities Commission, on which she has served as commissioner since January 2007.

• Mark High was hired as a senior product line manager at Sea Bags. High has his own consulting business and previously worked with Sea Bags on several independent projects.

He also worked as a brand and business development consultant with Maine-based consumer goods companies.

PROMOTIONS

• Sokunthy Yean was promoted to general manager of Sea Bags. Yean started at Sea Bags two years ago as a finance manager. At the time, she also managed human resources. Prior to joining Sea Bags, she worked as assistant program manager at Volunteers of America.

• David Maxsimic, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Wright Express in North America, will serve as the interim leader of the company's international operations. Maxsimic has 14 years of experience with Wright Express.

• Drew Sigfridson was promoted to principal of CBRE | The Boulos Company. Sigfridson joined the company as an assistant broker in 1998. He has 14 years of experience in the industry.

• Five individuals were promoted at Camden National Corporation.

Sheri Bartlett, based in Rockland, was named retail banking officer. Bartlett was hired there in 1989.

Laurie Bridge, manager of Camden National's Hampden and Hermon offices, was named retail banking officer. Bridge was hired in 2010.

Beth Rogers, a commercial loan administrator in Rockland, was named commercial banking officer. Rogers joined the bank in 1984.

Tori Stewart, project manager for Acadia Trust in Portland, was promoted to assistant vice president. Stewart has been with Acadia Trust since 2003.

Susan Weber, an asset quality officer at its service center, was named vice president. Weber has been with Camden National since 2010.

AWARDS and RECOGNITIONS

• Winxnet in Portland recently earned preferred IT vendor status from eClinicalWorks. To achieve the preferred status, Winxnet completed an extensive training program at eCW headquarters in Westborough, Mass. To uphold the status, Winxnet will continue to implement, support and manage eCW installations while maintaining an average rating of four-out-of-five on eCW's annual customer service surveys.

• The U.S. Small Business Administration named KeyBank the top SBA Large Lender of the Year. The award is based on factors such as portfolio performance, year-over-year growth in loan approval volume and on lender size, and an ongoing commitment to the growth and expansion of small businesses.
