NEW FACES

• David Dyer joined Prime Ford/Mazda in Saco as a sales and leasing consultant. Dyer, of Newfield, previously worked in the building materials industry.

• Eric West was hired as a sales representative at Volk Packaging Corporation, a corrugated box manufacturer in Biddeford. West was with the company in the late 1990s and was previously with another corrugated company.

• Roma Desai joined Bernstein Shur’s Business Restructuring and Insolvency Practice Group. Desai, of Manchester, N.H., previously served as a federal law clerk for the Honorable J. Michael Deasy and the Honorable Mark W. Vaughn of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Hampshire.

• Jack Fleming joined Aquaholics Surf Shop as its marketing and events director. Fleming has several years of experience in the surf and snow industry. He has produced the Red Bull Ice Break surfing event and the Nike Junior Pro and Unsound Pro in New York City.

The Maine Mineral & Gem Museum, which will open next summer, hired three people to assist with collections, administration and development.

Carl Francis was named consulting curator. He recently retired as curator of the Harvard Mineralogical Museum, where he worked from 1977 to 2011.

Barbra Barrett was hired as chief of operations. She has been administrator of Boxberry Elementary School in Oxford since 2010.

Mary Ellen Hern was named museum consultant. She was a founding director of the Historic House Trust of New York City.

• Kelley Guite joined Rinck Advertising as an administrative assistant. Guite, of Lewiston, previously worked at Southern New Hampshire University’s Brunswick campus.

• Sandra Shorey joined the Progress Center as director of residential services. Shorey previously served seven years as a director of services, where she was responsible for 14 residential homes.

• Nate Tripp, Shawn Hersey, Nick Anagnostis and Lisa Mininni Rancourt joined Haley’s Metal Shop in Biddeford.

Tripp joined Haley’s sales team and is responsible for residential and commercial HVAC sales as well as metal specialty projects.

Hersey was named manager of its HVAC department for its service division. He was previously with Granite State Plumbing and Heating.

Anagnostis joined Haley’s in HVAC sales support. He is responsible for coordinating sales information for the sheet metal and service departments.

Mininni Rancourt was hired to work in the accounting department.

• Danielle Dorrie joined the Greater Bangor Convention & Visitors Bureau as a membership and convention sales coordinator. Dorrie, formerly of the Florida Keys, was the assistant general manager of a restaurant and was involved in creative marketing and event planning.

• Erin Mayo was selected as the head of school for Fryeburg Academy. Mayo is currently the assistant head of school for academics at the Episcopal School of Dallas, Texas, one of the top coeducational college preparatory institutions in the nation. She will officially join Fryeburg Academy on July 1, 2013.

PROMOTIONS

• Traci Vaine was promoted to chief compliance officer at CEI Capital Management, LLC. Vaine joined CEI in 2008 as an accounting and loan service specialist, and advanced to senior compliance and asset manager before this promotion.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS

• Susan Adams and Michael Fallona joined the board of directors for Northeast Hearing and Speech.

Adams, of South Portland, is a nutritionist and lactation counselor for the Women, Infants and Children food program at the Opportunity Alliance.

Fallona, of Scarborough, is vice president and part of the ownership group at On Target Utility Services.

• Scott Buckheit, Scott Drummey, Susan Mellady and Rich Murtha joined the board of directors for MTUG, a group of individuals in the state’s telecommunications and computer networking industries.

Buckheit is a senior technology officer at Camden National Corporation.

Drummey is a senior sales and product development engineer at GWI.

Mellady is a systems manager III at UNUM.

Murtha is vice president of wholesale customer operations at FairPoint Communications.

AWARDS and RECOGNITIONS

• Dr. Victoria Rogers of Maine Medical Center and Douglas Patrick of Woodfords Family Services were recently recognized by the Maine Children’s Alliance at its annual Champions for Children event.

Rogers, director of The Kids Co-op at the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center, was recognized for her work combating childhood obesity.

Patrick, an attorney, licensed clinical social worker and director of new programs at Woodfords Family Services, was recognized for his work to provide services to children with developmental challenges.
