• Oakley Dyer joined Diversified Business Communications as vice president of business development. Dyer was previously employed with Idexx in Westbook.
• Kevin Burke, M.D., joined MKM ENT Associates, a specialty practice focused on otolaryngology within Mercy Health System of Maine.
Burke graduated from Georgetown University Medical School in Washington, D.C., and completed his residency at the University of California, San Francisco, in otolaryngology head and neck surgery.
• Diana Vradii, M.D., recently joined the medical staff of Mid Coast Hospital and will head its new rheumatology practice.
Vradii completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, followed by a rheumatology fellowship at Boston University Medical Center. She has specialized training in scleroderma, vasculitis, musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided joint aspirations and injections.
• The following people joined the staff at Waynflete School:
Geoff Wagg was named head of school. He was previously head of upper school at the Episcopal Academy in Pennsylvania.
Meredith Anderson was named assistant coach of the varsity cross country team. She has coached Girls on the Run and runs competitively in marathons and road races.
Vanessa Beyland joined the performing arts faculty as a dance instructor. She has been involved with the Portland Ballet for the past 12 years.
Mark Bickford was hired as library and technology support. He is an English and history teacher and recently worked at the Community School in Tamworth, N.H.
Chris Burtis joined the academic support faculty. He has worked as a carpenter and energy auditor and is certified through the coaching school.
Marc Chillemi joined the performing arts faculty as a drumming instructor. He has experience as a trumpet instructor at the Midcoast School of Music.
Christopher Fitze was hired as the theater technical director. He previously worked for Portland Stage Company and served as technical coordinator at Morse High School and the Children's Theatre of Maine.
Sarah Fuller-Matsubara joined the faculty to teach grades two and three. She taught for several years in New York.
Olivia Gunn joined the performing arts faculty as a film instructor. Most recently, she worked as a young artist program counselor at Maine Media Workshops in Rockport.
Elizabeth Hallett joined the foreign language department and is teaching Spanish. She is a 2009 graduate of Waynflete and has experience teaching elementary school students in Puerto Rico.
Heather Isherwood joined Waynflete as executive assistant to the head of school. A 1989 Waynflete graduate, Isherwood has worked as an office manager and assistant and program coordinator.
Lindsay Kaplan joined the foreign language department to teach French. She taught previously at Cape Elizabeth High School and was an adjunct professor at the University of Southern Maine.
Rob Kierstead was hired as assistant for operations. He was a member of the Waynflete maintenance staff and a skilled carpenter.
Erin Leon was named director of Waynflete's Afterschool Program. She previously worked at Breakwater School and Pond Cove Elementary School in Cape Elizabeth.
Nick MacDonald joined Waynflete's performing arts department to teach music classes and to direct the choruses. Most recently, he was director of vocal music at Gray-New Gloucester High School.
Chris Malone joined Waynflete's academic support faculty. Malone previously worked as a tutor at Berwick Academy and as a trainer at Idexx.
Julia May joined the maintenance department. She was previously the residential life supervisor of facilities at Keene State College.
