Finance Clerk – Welcome / Reception Desk

POSITION OBJECTIVES/SUMMARY:

The Welcome Desk position provides support to walk in customers and internal customer service to all employees. Answers the company’s main telephone line for customer and vendor inquiries. This position mainly focuses on accounts payable and then supports Finance in other areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Communicates with colleagues, customers and vendors in a courteous and professional manner providing excellent Customer Service. Answers the company’s main telephone line for questions and inquiries.
2. Accounts Payable, this includes entering, researching, sorting and filing.
3. Process incoming and outgoing mail. Delivers mail to the appropriate departments, applies postage to outgoing mail.
4. Process Advertising statements for mailing (Stuffing and applying the appropriate postage).
5. Complete work as prioritized to meet deadlines.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Associate’s degree in Accounting preferred but not required.
College experience or work experience preferred.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, the position may be required to lift and carry bins of mail to the post office. The position requires standing, walking, extended sitting, repetitive keyboard / mouse use and viewing a computer monitor for extended periods.
