This uncredited photograph was printed on Page 12 of the Feb. 2, 1938, Portland Evening Express, with the following caption:

“The first Ski Club, as well as the first co-educational activity attempted at Portland High School, these willing youngsters were caught by the camera man at one of their practice sessions on the slopes of the Eastern Promenade.
