I have been in Destination Imagination Freshman year, Indoor and Outdoor Track both Sophomore and Junior Year, and Indoor Track and Math Team this year, and have also just recently competed in the Windstorm Challenge at the University of Maine. In the Fall, I will be attending the Rochester Institute of Technology, majoring in Applied Networking and Systems Administration.
I have been a dedicated member of many school activities, including the Gray - New Gloucester Patriot Players Drama Club, with a total of twelve shows over the course of four years. I have also been Class President and Secretary, a long-standing member of the Student Council, Civil Rights Team, Track & Field, National Honor Society, and the Community Service Club. When not at school, I work at Fiddlehead Art & Science Center, as a theater teacher and child caregiver. This has "dramatically" shaped my career path, as I will be attending the University of Maine at Orono, this coming fall, as a major in Theatre, with a focus in Theater Education and a minor in New Media Studies.
I have been involved in many extracurricular activities, including Football, Indoor Track, Outdoor Track, Chorus, the National Honor Society, and the Community Service Club.I served as a captain of the football team during my Junior and Senior year, and I earned the Coach's Award my Senior year. As a first year member of the chorus, I made the distract festival. I have also received the Math Award, as well as a gold metal on the National Latin Exam. Next year I will be going to the University of New England, where I will enter a Medical Biology/Pre-Med program with aspiration to enter the doctorate program.
Since I transferred to GNGHS in 10th grade, I have taken full advantage of the extracurricular activities the school has had to offer. I have participated as both an actress (winning a regional All-Cast Award) and a songwriter for the Patriot players, a District Festival member in chorus, a long-distance runner in Indoor and Outdoor track, as well as Cross-Country, and an active member of the National Honors Society. I am also extensively involved in community service, logging over 1,200 hours in high school. Next year I will be majoring in English and Spanish Secondary Education at the University of Southern Maine.
ARDEN JORDAN, Valedictorian
I have been involved in many clubs, teams and activities. I have been a member of the Community Service Club, Math Team, National Honors Society, Mock Trial, Track and Field and Student Council. I have also been a Class of 2012 student representative and treasurer. Most of importantly, however, I have been a member of the Patriot Players (the drama club) for four years and have acted in 13 productions. In the coming fall I will be attending Bennington College majoring in history and with a minor in the arts.
I have really enjoyed my time at Gray-New Gloucester High School, spending time in a plethora of extracurricular activities including the Cross-Country, Indoor & Outdoor Track Teams, the school's Drama Club, the Community Service Club, NHS, my church's youth group, and the Math Team. I have received the YES Abroad scholarship from the U.S. State Department and will be spending my next school year in Ghana attending a local high school, volunteering, and staying with a host family. After my gap year, I will be attending Colby College to study International Relations and Global Development.
I have been in the Patriot Players Drama Club since my freshman year with a total of eleven shows while also being a part of National Honors Society, Chorus, and Band. I work part time at Cole Farms as a waitress when I am not busy on the stage or in school. I will be attending the University of Southern Maine this fall as an English Education major.
Over the years, I have been in an array of activities, including cross-country running, Nordic skiing, National Honor Society, and the Community Service Club. I have been on the state math meet both my junior and senior year. I will be attending the University of Maine in Orono next year, majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology.

Recently, my short film, "Ouija," was accepted to and premiered at the Lewiston Auburn Film Festival. This fall, I will be attending Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts as a Film Major.
Throughout my high school experience, I have been in many various extracurricular activities including Drama Club, the National Honor Society, Outdoor Track and Field, Student Council, Community Service Club, Math Team, Yearbook Club, and the Mock Trial Team.
