    Valedictorian of her class, Noell Acord is the daughter of Chris and Therese Acord. During her high school career she participated on the successful soccer, basketball, and softball teams and was captain of all three her senior year. Noell was on the prom committee her junior year, yearbook committee her senior year, was a part of the math team and drama production and helped to plan Bobcat Pride Day her junior and senior years. During her junior year she founded the Richmond Key Club and served as president for two years, providing her peers with the opportunity to serve the community. Her favorite community service activity was helping coach the peewee soccer and basketball teams. Noell was inducted into NHS her junior year and now serves as vice-president. She is the class historian and recently received the MPA Principals’ award for academic excellence and citizenship at Richmond High School and the 2013 Distinguished Youth Award. She also was a participant at Dirigo Girl’s State 2012. This fall Noell will be attending the University of Maine at Orono to major in Biology with a concentration in Pre-Med and Pre-Optometry. After college she hopes to become an optometrist and open her own practice. In addition to her school activities, Noell also enjoys traveling. Through three People to People Student Ambassador trips, two EF tours, and family vacations, Noell has traveled to over 20 countries and she wishes to study abroad in college. In her free time Noell likes to relax, and spend time with her friends and family.

    Jamie Plummer is the daughter of Dale and Kim Plummer. She is the salutatorian of her graduating class, and served as a class officer all four years of high school: treasurer during freshman and junior years, secretary sophomore year, and vice-president for her senior year. In high school she participated in basketball, softball, soccer, drama, and youth group. Jamie also has danced for fourteen years and competes on a dance team. She was a member of the National Honor Society and math team, and served as the secretary of Richmond’s Key Club. She volunteers as a youth basketball coach, helps out at the elementary school on a regular basis, and helps teach Sunday school. In the fall of 2013 Jamie will be attending Bates College with an undecided major and plans to play basketball. She plans to study for a degree in physical therapy and wants to specialize in high school athletes. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her pets, friends and family.

    Lauren Marie Umberhind is the daughter to George and Lori Umberhind. She is third in her class. In high school she is a RSU 2 student representative to the school board, was on student council, peer leadership groups, coordinator for a School to Work Connection Day and just recently shared testimony at the Legislature and led a student rally at the State Capitol to show solidarity in public school funding. Lauren participated in cross country, band and pep band. Her senior year, she attended 3 high schools and took science courses online. She is inducted in the National Honor Society and received a leadership certificate from Norwich University and high honors certificates from Thomas College. She is a volunteer counselor at Camp Mechuwana. Lauren is an active member of the UMC in Brunswick where she is a lay speaker and a youth leader locally and also in the Northeastern United States representing the Mission of Peace. Her passion is helping those in need through mission work. She has spent countless hours assisting the homeless in inner cities, soup kitchens, food pantries, and also collecting school supplies and prom dresses and suits for a northern Maine community. She has been a missionary for two years to Nicaragua delivering supplies and helping families adjust to life ‘outside of the dump’ and building a Christian school at Project Chacocente. Next fall, Lauren will be studying Nursing at the University Maine on a Presidential Scholarship. When home she enjoys reading, riding, and spending time with her family, especially with her sister, Katie.

    Brianna Snedeker is the daughter of William and Sandra Snedeker. She is fourth in her class. In high school she participated in soccer, basketball, and softball. Brianna served as President of her class during her sophomore and senior years, and Vice President during her freshman and junior years. She was treasurer of the National Honors Society, an active member of the Math Team, Editor of Key Club, and participated as a volunteer youth basketball coach. Next fall, Brianna plans to study Biology with a concentration in Pre-Med at the University of Maine. When not playing sports she enjoys working at Main Street Dairy Treat and being with friends and family.

    Alyssa Pearson is the daughter of Mark and Jessica Pearson. She is fifth in her class. In high school she participated in soccer her freshman year and basketball and softball all four years. Alyssa is also a member of Richmond’s Key Club. During her junior year, Alyssa was inducted into the NHS society. Alyssa has participated as a volunteer youth basketball coach throughout high school. Next fall, Alyssa plans to study Health, Wellness and Occupational Studies at the University of New England, with plans on becoming an Occupational Therapist. When not playing sports she is either hanging out with friends and family or working at the local ice cream store.

    Kayla Taylor is the daughter of Alfred Taylor and Melissa Higgins. She is sixth in her class. In high school she participated in soccer and Key Club. She served as secretary of her class junior and senior year. She was inducted into the National Honors Society her junior year and is the secretary. Next fall, Kayla plans to study Nursing at Southern Maine Community College. When not busy with school she enjoys being with friends, traveling, dancing, and working at the local ice cream store, Main Street Dairy Treat.

    Eddie Stewart is the son of Daniel and Deborah Stewart. He is seventh in his class. Eddie spent three years at Wiscasset High School before transferring to Richmond his senior year. In high school, he participated in soccer, basketball, and baseball and was a captain for all 3 sports his senior year. He was also a member of Key Club, drama, math team, National Honor Society, prom committee, and Student Council. For community service, he refereed youth soccer games and coached local little league teams. Eddie will pursue his career in baseball next year at Massachusetts Maritime Academy while majoring in Facilities Engineering. When he’s not playing sports, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

    Margaret Robbins is the daughter of Gary Robbins and Marie Allen-Robbins and is eighth in her class. Throughout high school she has participated in drama, band, cross-country, District III Honors Band Festival, National Honors Society, and S.T.A.G.E. (Students Teaching About Growing Emotionally). This year she was also inducted into the National Technical Honors Society through her Medical and Veterinary Terminology class at Capital Area Technical Center. In her free time Maggie enjoys reading, drawing, spending time with friends, and being outdoors and currently works at Arby's. She plans to attend the University of Maine at Orono Honors College to major in Animal Sciences in the hopes of becoming an animal cruelty investigator.

    Sydney Choate is a senior at Richmond High School. She is president of the National Honor Society, and treasurer of the RHS Key Club. Sydney was a captain of the soccer team and a team member on the varsity cross country and softball teams as well. Sydney is a Juliette girl scout who has earned her silver award and is currently working on her gold, which is the highest award that can be earned in Girl Scouts. Sydney has been the leading female role for the past four years in the RHS Drama program. Sydney wants to become a pediatric nurse practitioner; she also wants to pursue her career in singing, which is her true passion in life. She was inspired to become a nurse when she traveled to the Dominican Republic two years in a row when helping build the Good Samaritans hospital. Sydney plans on attending SMCC and then transferring to Simmons College in Boston.

    Alexandra Petroulis is the daughter of Paul and Terri Petroulis. She is tenth in her class. Alex was the vice president of the Key Club junior and senior year. She is an active volunteer and has spent over 150 hours working with the children of the Children's Center of Augusta, Maine. During her senior year, she spent her time enrolled at Capitol Area Technical Center earning a certification as an early childhood assistant, and also participated in duel enrollment at the University of Maine, Augusta. She was recently inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. Next year, Alex will be going to Hofstra University in New York to study Education and creative writing. During her free time, Alex enjoys photography, writing, and spending time with her friends and family.
