Top Seniors

Brooke Lancaster is the daughter of Paul and Cheryl Lancaster. She is first in her class. In high school she participated in soccer and basketball. Brooke served as vice-president of her class for two years and president for her senior year. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has worked on the wellness and prom committees. She has volunteered as a Pee Wee Basketball coach and during the summer works for Richmond Summer Rec. Next fall, she plans to study nursing at the University of Maine in Orono.


Katrina Hedgpeth is the daughter of Louise and Michael Hedgpeth. She is graduating second in her class. While in high school, she was a member of the drama club, fitness club, and a starting player on the varsity softball team. She was also a cast member in the 2009 drama production of “Little Shop of Horrors”. Katrina served as treasurer of her class all four years. She was an active member in a singing ensemble known as the RHS Madrigals. During her senior year, Katrina was inducted into the National Honors Society. Next fall, Katrina plans to study nursing at the University of Southern Maine. When not spending time with friends and family, she enjoys working at a nursing home in Freeport.


Joseph Bernier is the son to Paul and Stephanie Bernier. He is third in his class. In high school he participated in basketball. During his senior year, he attended the Law Enforcement program at Capital Area Technical Center. This summer Joseph will be shipping out to San Antonio, Texas for Air Force Basic Training. When not playing basketball, he enjoys playing guitar, and hanging out with his friends.


Andrew Rossignol is the son of Daniel and Andrea Rossignol. He is fourth in his class. In high school he participated in soccer, and basketball. Andrew served as the president of his junior class, and is also currently the National Honor Society president. Next fall, Andrew plans on attending the University of Southern Maine. When he is not playing sports he enjoys mowing lawns for his company and relaxing with friends.


Megan Ridley is the daughter of Clifford and Christine Ridley. She is fifth in her class. Megan plans to attend Southern Maine Community College in the fall for Applied Marine Biology and Oceanography. During her freshman year she volunteered as a youth basketball coach and Varsity girls basketball manager. When not doing homework, she enjoys being with her friends or playing World of Warcraft with her family.


Natalie Winokurzew is the daughter of Olef and Rhonda Winokurzew. She is 6th in her class. Natalie participated in cross-county, track, journalism, pep band, concert band, marching band, and is a gold belt in Tae Kwan Do. She plans to attend Pensacola Christian College in the fall for nursing then plans to continue her education by getting her masters to become a nurse anesthetist. She was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society, won student of the month at Capital Area Tech Center, was a finalist for CATC student of the year, won silver medal in the local Skill Susa competition, and has been on honor roll or high honors all four years of high school. She went to CATC her senior year and is now a certified nursing assistant. When she is not at school she likes to work out, waitress at Friendly's, play the piano and flute, and work at Maine Veterans' Homes.


Morgan Rines, daughter of Patricia Riddle and David Rines is number 7 in the class of 2011. She plans to attend New England Culinary Institute starting this October, studying for a degree in Baking and Pastry. She is a two-year member of NHS; she participated in the RHS drama club, and has also played softball her freshman, sophomore and junior years. Music has always been her passion. Singing, playing the guitar and the piano are the three instruments she has focused on all four high school years. She is looking forward to graduating and seeing what the future has in store.


Tara Hurley, daughter of John Hurley and Nadine Hinkley. She is 8th in her class. In high school she participated in soccer, basketball, and softball. She played a role in winning 2 state championships in soccer, 1 in softball and was state runners-up in basketball this recent season. Tara has served as Vice president of her senior class this past year. She was inducted into NHS her junior year and took on the role as vice president this year, where she took part in the recycling program. She has also volunteered as a youth basketball coach for three years. After becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant at Capital area Technical Center this year, she will pursue her studies in the nursing program at Colby- Sawyer College in New Hampshire this fall, later specializing in Oncology. In her spare time she works at Maine Veterans home and The North Face, and hangs out with friends.


Casey Smith (9th in class) is the son of Matthew and Tamara Smith. His post high school plans consist of attending UTI in Norwood, MA. Casey will be studying automotive technology and will pursue a career in the industry. During the first two years of high school Casey served as class president and participated in soccer. Away from school Casey spends much of his time working at the local Gardner Rest Stop saving his funds for his first year of schooling. In his free time Casey enjoys hobbies such as snowmobiling, snowboarding, fishing, tinkering around in the garage, and spending time with friends.


Alexis Lord is the daughter to Eric Lord and Mary Pinkham. She is Tenth in her class. In high school she participated in Softball, Dance and Fitness Club. She has worked at Starbucks for the past two years. During her senior year she has participated in class fundraisers and school functions. She enjoys cookouts, being with friends, and relaxing in her spare time. Next fall, Alexis plans to take liberal studies at Eastern Maine Community College.
