Cars vs. moose

Each dot marks the location where a motorist hit a moose in the year ending Sept. 1, 2015.

There were 327 moose-vehicle collisions in this period, 55 of which resulted in human injuries, including one fatality. About a third of all collisions occurred between 8 and 10 p.m.
