The Clam Shack of Kennebunk had its lobster roll voted "Fan Favorite" on Friday at the 2012 Lobster Roll Rumble in New York City, where it competed against restaurants from around the country.

The lobster roll was voted the best from a field of 20 contenders from across the United States by 1,000 attendees of the third Tastingtable.com Lobster Roll Rumble, which benefits Share Our Strength, an anti-childhood hunger organization.
The Clam Shack, a Kennebunk institution on Western Avenue at the bridge over the Kennebunk River, is owned by Steve Kingston.
