Christmas week is a little slow for author events. But with the New Year comes the continuing of the Portland Public Library's Friday Local Author Series. First up in 2013 is J.R. Mackenzie, who will talk about her book, "A Temptation Tale: A Father Tom Novel." Father Tom, according to Mackenzie's website, is Temptation Parish's Maine coon cat "priest." For a list of other authors who will be appearing as part of the series through March, go to the library's website, Portlandlibrary.com.
