Maine author Norman Beaupre will be speaking about his novel "Cajetan the Stargazer" at the Portland Public Library's Friday Local Author Series.

The novel deals with the building of medieval cathedrals, and focuses on a man called Cajetan who progresses from apprentice to journeyman to master architect. Audience members will be offered a chance to ask questions, and people are encouraged to bring their lunch to the noon event.

 WHEN: Noon to 1 p.m. Friday
