Portland Beer Week Schedule: Friday-Nov. 10

Here’s a detailed look at all the events.

DETAILS: Voted Best Designated Driver, Lenny (The Green Brew Bus) will take you to your next stop in downtown Portland free of charge. All tips will be donated to Cultivating Community.

MAINE BEER TOURS & BREW CREW FESTIVAL SHUTTLE

WHEN: The shuttle will pick up in front of Gritty’s, 396 Fore St., at 12:45 p.m. and 1 p.m. Drop off will be in front of the Portland Expo, where the Maine Brewer’s Festival is being held. Maine Beer Tours will pick back up at 5 p.m. and drop off at Gritty’s.

HOW MUCH: Free

OXBOW RARE BOTTLE TASTING

WHEN: 6 to 9 p.m.

WHERE: Novare Res Bier Café, 4 Canal Plaza, Portland

HOW MUCH: Pay as you go

DETAILS: Head brewer Tim Adams will conduct a guided tasting of rare and vintage barrel-aged beers from Oxbow’s reserve stash of bottles. The event is limited to 24 participants and will be held in the back room. Select Oxbow drafts will also be available from the main bar all day.

SATURDAY TOUR

WHEN: 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

WHERE: Pick-up and drop off in front of Portland Lobster Company, 180 Commercial St.

DETAILS: Stops include Allagash Brewing Co., Rising Tide Brewing Co., Maine Mead Works and Bunker Brewing Co.

MAINE BEER TOURS:

HOPPY HOUR TOUR

WHEN: 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

WHERE: Pick-up and drop-off in front of Portland Lobster Company, 180 Commercial St.

FIVE-MILE BREWERY

RUNNING TOUR

WHEN: 11:30 a.m.

WHERE: The Thirsty Pig, 37 Exchange St., Portland

DETAILS: Stops at Rising Tide, Urban Farm Fermentory, and Sebago. Includes samples, a snack, and a PCRT coozie.

RUNNING TOUR

• GREAT LOST BEAR:

SHIPYARD MONKEY FIST

WHEN: Open 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

WHERE: Great Lost Bear/Port City Music Hall

HOW MUCH: Pay as you go

DETAILS: Great Lost Bear will pair its bacon jam wings with Monkey Fist at the Brewer’s Kitchen event, and Monkey Fist will be discounted all day and night at Great Lost Bear.

PEAK’S BAR HOP PROJECT

WHEN: 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: LFK, 188A State St., Portland

HOW MUCH: Pay as you go

DETAILS: This is an event to showcase this year’s hop harvest from our friendly hop farmers in Maine. LFK bartenders will be pouring pints of Peak Organic’s Fall Summit and IPA and dry hopping your beer right at the bar, adding three or four hop cones right to your glass.

NOV. 4

BAYSIDE NIGHT

WHEN: 6 p.m.

WHERE: Nosh Kitchen Bar, 551 Congress, Portland

HOW MUCH: Pay as you go

DETAILS: Featuring Bunker, Rising Tide, UFF and Maine Craft Distilling

GREAT LOST BEAR: ALLAGASH

WHEN: Open 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

WHERE: Great Lost Bear, 540 Forest Ave., Portland

HOW MUCH: Pay as you go

DETAILS: Pouring the Bear’s biggest seller, Allagash White, along with five other selections from the bar’s Allagash Alley taps. Discounts and swag. 

MARSHALL WHARF PARTY

WHEN: Opens at 4 p.m.

WHERE: Novare Res Bier Cafe, 4 Canal Plaza, Portland
