South Portland painter Paul Black shows nearly two dozens paintings during his annual holiday show at Fore Street Gallery, 372 Fore St., Portland. This year’s show is a little different than in the past: Black has limited his subject to the streets of Portland. He is showing snow scenes of the Old Port, as he always does, and also includes paintings of other streets in the city under various kinds of weather, times of day and in all seasons. The reception is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, and the show is on view through Jan. 7. Regular gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. daily. Info: (877) 874-8084.
