Landscape painter opens gallery

PHIPPSBURG - Sidwell Art Gallery, featuring new oil paintings of local scenes by landscape painter Felicity Sidwell, celebrates its opening from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at 79 Wallace Circle, West Point village, Phippsburg.
"Bailey Island Rocks" and other paintings by Felicity Sidwell are on exhibit at the new Sidwell Art Gallery in Phippsburg.

Sidwell lives in Brunswick and has been spending summers in West Point for several years.
Her paintings reflect her environment, with images of local islands, harbors and other scenes.
Regular gallery hours are 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday to Sunday. Call 389-1031 or visit www.felicitysidwell.com.
