Super Bowl Parties: Looking for a place to go Bowl-ing? Some ideas for Sunday

Are you pulling for Pittsburgh or going with Green Bay?

Whether you're rooting for the AFC or NFC during Sunday's Super Bowl (6:30 p.m. on Fox), you'll want to do your cheering along with others who love football. Check out some of these viewing options for the big game -- just a few of the many going on around southern Maine.

WHEN: 2 p.m. to midnight

WHAT: Get things started at 2 p.m. with $2.95 mimosas or the $3.95 bloody Mary bar. Bud Light pints are $1.95 all day, and 20-ounce PBRs are $1.95 starting at 3 p.m. The pre-game tailgate party with lots of free food starts at 5 p.m. Large TV screens with surround sound, and yes, the Puppy Bowl will be on one of them.

WHAT: One-topping 15-inch pizza special for $10 all day, plus beer specials. The game will be shown on a monster 15-foot screen and on plenty of smaller TVs.

WHEN: Tailgate party starts at 2 p.m.

WHAT: The grill will be fired up and complimentary grub will be cooked on the patio. Attendees also have the chance to win one of four 32-inch flat-screen TVs, which will be given away throughout the afternoon and evening. Spend $20 to get your name entered into the raffle.

WHEN: Starts at 3 p.m.

WHAT: Buffet, cash prizes and specials. Happy hour runs 4 to 7 p.m., with $2 drafts and half-priced appetizers.

WHEN: Come early, stay late

WHAT: Enter to win a $500 gift card. There's no charge to enter, but you have to be present to win, and the winner will be announced after the game. Watch the game on the more than 25 TVs while enjoying $4 bloody Marys and mimosas and $5 personal pitchers of Bug Light.

WHEN: Starts at 4 p.m.

WHAT: Watch the game on three flatscreen TVs and get Bud Light and Miller Lite pints, domestic bottles and some well drinks for $3. Domestic buckets are $13, and premium buckets are $19. Food options include braised bratwurst with onions, green peepers and spicy mustard; black Angus burger with fries; and a whole host of apps, including loaded potato skins and chips and salsa buckets.
