Music and Nightlife: Slightly Stoopid rocks the range at the State Theatre

Art and Theater: New season for Midcoast Symphony

THE MIDCOAST Symphony Orchestra performs the first concerts of the season under director Rohan Smith. The orchestra will play works by Beethoven, Debussy and Rimsky-Korsakev. Pianist George Lopez, artist in residence at Bowdoin College, is guest soloist.

Music and Nightlife: Been hunting Fox? Find 'em at Empire

PHILADELPHIA-BASED rockers Three Legged Fox won the University of Delaware's Battle of the Bands in 2006, and has been building a fan base by touring ever since. It comes to Portland on Friday as part of a bill that also includes The Fear Nuttin' Band and Beat Horizon.

Art and Theater: Yarmouth Art Festival runs the gamut from old to new media

SEVENTY-NINE Maine artists will exhibit 165 pieces of work at the fourth annual Yarmouth Art Festival. The juried show features painting, sculpture, photography, etching and digital media.
