It's time to break out everything green that you own and get into the swing of all things St. Patrick's Day-related. There's parades, food and, of course, lots of music to choose from.
We've put together a list of highlights, but you should also check with your favorite local watering holes, restaurants or hangouts to see what they may have up their green sleeves.
PORTLAND ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE
The Irish American Club of Maine's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade marches proudly from the Fish Pier to the State Pier. This year's participants include Claddagh Mohr and Dunlop pipe bands, the Maine State Police Emerald Society, Girl Scouts, the Boys and Girls Club, Maine Gaelic Sports Alliance, the Stillson School of Irish Dance, Portland's first responders, Portland Mayor Michael Brennan, flags representing all of Ireland and more.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY CIVIC CENTER
For a larger scale St. Patty's event, head to the Cumberland County Civic Center for the Band of the Scots Guards; the Pipes, Drums & Highland Dancers of the Black Watch 3rd Battalion; and the Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.

The band Boghat will get things rolling bright and early with its traditional Irish music with a contemporary twist. You'll hear fiery reels, jigs and a whole lot more from the Portland-based trio. The party continues all day with music, poetry, dancers, bagpipers and prizes.

Both the upstairs and downstairs of Bull Feeney's will be bursting with St. Patty's Day merriment. An Irish breakfast begins at 6 a.m., and from there the schedule is full of a wide array of live music including the Celtic duo of Tom & Don, the Maine Public Safety Pipe & Drum Corps and The Red Light Revue, among many others.

An Irish breakfast buffet opens at 8 a.m., and there will be live music all day and night. At 11 a.m., the Maine Public Safety Pipe & Drum Corps will be dropping in for a spirited performance.

The celebration at Slainte includes live Irish music, song and dance. The centerpiece is a performance by the Celtic folk rock duo The Keenans.

MISS PORTLAND DINER
Bagpipers will be playing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Joe Markley will be playing Irish music on his guitar from 5 to 9 p.m.

INN ON PEAKS
This year is the seventh annual St. Pat's on Peaks party, and Boghat will be providing the Irish music soundtrack.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH PARADE
The parade in Old Orchard Beach kicks off at 11 a.m. and winds its way through the streets. Four-legged and two-legged friends will be marching with a float from OOB365 and representatives from several area businesses.

The Skye Theatre Irish and Saltwater Celtic Festival present legendary Irish piper Paddy Keenan. Keenan is from the tiny town of Trim in County Meath on the emerald isle. He started playing the uilleann pipes when he was 10, and played his first concert in Dublin at age 14.

The Squid Jiggers are Maine's only cephalopod-inspired Celtic and maritime folk duo. They'll be playing Irish-themed songs and telling stories while you dine on corned beef and cabbage. The show is a benefit for the Good Shepherd Food Bank. Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted.

BATH BLARNEY DAYS
Bath is wearing extra layers of green, and the city's annual Blarney Days celebration lasts several days. Head to visitbath.com for a full schedule. On St. Patty's Day proper, the events include an Irish soda bread-baking contest and live music at downtown pubs and restaurants.
