The midcoast paddling troupe will be checking out Broad Cove. The put-in is at the end of Storer Road off Route 32, about 3.4 miles north of Biscay Road and just south of the Bremen town offices. Participants must provide their own canoe or kayak and wear a life jacket. All trips are free. Paddle is held rain or shine. Call 677-6380.
Master Naturalist Tour
10 a.m. in Jefferson
Graduates from the Maine Master Naturalist Program and members of Hidden Valley Nature Center will be leading a tour at the center from 10 a.m. to noon, taking a closer look at vernal pools, insects, lichen and wetlands. Suggested donation is $5. Hidden Valley Nature Center is a member-based, community-supported organization with nearly 1,000 acres of diverse habitat, many small ponds and vernal pools. It is dedicated to providing educational and recreational opportunities to the community throughout the year. Call 586-5837.

Bicyclists from across Maine, New England and other states, as well as Canada, will gather at the Maine Bike Rally in Biddeford. The three-day event features on-road and self-guided off-road rides, as well as an accredited time trial. Birds of Wild Haven
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Gray
The Maine Wildlife Park will offer a seminar on the birds of Wild Haven, which has been offering raptor presentations for two decades. Wild Haven’s birds were permanently disabled in accidents in the wild, so they cannot be released. A turkey vulture, a red-shouldered hawk and a barn owl will be present.
