Casco Bay Lines is the transit system for the Casco Bay islands. It does offer lots of cruises, some with music. But sometimes, just the short commuter's hop to Peaks Island is enough to satisfy your cruising needs.

BEST PARK OR HISTORIC SITE

Fort Williams Park

You want history? This park was a military post, beginning in 1899, with lots of buildings and batteries still in place. Plus, the park houses Portland Head Light, first lit in 1791.
