Thursday through Saturday

Friday

Saturday

ChIME benefit brunch, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., honoring the Rev. Bruce Burnham, who will receive the Chaplaincy Institute of Maine’s Planetary Chaplain of the Year Award. Local Sprouts will serve the brunch and there will be live music, as well as the third annual Spiritual Arts and Services Sale with books, prints, cards, jewelry and more. The program will be held at One Longfellow Square, Portland.

Other

The Rev. Cindy Maddox has been named the new senior pastor of the First Congregational Church, 301 Cottage Road, South Portland. Her official start of duties is Monday. She recently completed eight years as the pastor of King Street United Church of Christ in Danbury Conn. The church is an Open and Affirming congregation, with worship at 8:30 a.m. Sundays in the chapel and at 10 a.m. in the main sanctuary.

Alpha and Omega Thrift Shop is having an end of the season yard sale and customer appreciation celebration from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Nov. 21 at 527 Park St. in South Paris.
