The Rev. Cindy Maddox has been named the new senior pastor of the First Congregational Church, 301 Cottage Road, South Portland. Her official start of duties is Monday. She recently completed eight years as the pastor of King Street United Church of Christ in Danbury Conn. The church is an Open and Affirming congregation, with worship at 8:30 a.m. Sundays in the chapel and at 10 a.m. in the main sanctuary.
