Today and Sunday
Saint Michael's College Liturgical Choir and Ensemble from Colchester, Vt., will sing Mass at 4 p.m. today at St. Patrick's Church, 1342 Congress St., Portland, and at 9 a.m. Sunday at St. Hyacinth Church, 268 Brown St., Westbrook. The choir performs a combination of African, Brazilian and American Swing along with traditional hymns.

Shape Note Singing, 1 to 4 p.m. at The New Church, 302 Stevens Ave., Portland. Not a performance, all are welcome to participate and tune books may be borrowed, free.

Friday Night Speakers, 7 to 8:15 p.m., with Melanie Harris, northeast regional director of J Street, who will discuss the organization's pro-Israel, pro-peace work. Etz Chaim Synagogue, 267 Congress St., Portland.
Saturday
