Yard and bake sale, 9 a.m. to noon, Standish Congregational Church, Oak Hill Road, Standish.

"Victory in Jesus," 9:30 a.m. to noon, free seminar for women with speaker Michelle Neujahr. A free lunch is included and reservations can be made by calling 353-8453 or emailing St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 496 Lisbon St./Route 196, Lisbon.

Path of the Shaman, noon to 6 p.m., workshop with Marc Felix, Ph.D. Held at Bhakti in Motion on 155 Brackett St., Portland. The fee is $75. Call 542-1847 for more information or to register.

Egg Hunt, 1 to 3 p.m., for children in grades K-5 with an adult. There will also be a presentation featuring "Resurrection Eggs," a short movie, and crafts. Each child will receive a set of Resurrection Eggs and a book to take home. Held at First Baptist Church, 185 Main St., Freeport. Refreshments will be served. Variety show and silent auction, 6:30 p.m. with performers of all ages. Silent auction benefits the Youth Experiences Fund. Congregational Church of Wells, 1695 Post Road/Route 1.

Wings and Things Spring Fling, with supper and fashion show from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by sale of items from the Wings and Things Clothes Closet. Casco Village Church, 941 Meadow Road/Route 121, Casco. The supper is $7 for adults and $4 for children under 8. Family maximum is $20.


"Holy, Wholly, Holey!" 10:30 a.m., interfaith service at Portland New Church, 302 Stevens Ave., Portland. Visit for details.

Sacred harp singing, 2 to 5 p.m., at the home of Corrone and Ruth Ann Bryant, 552 Main St., Damariscotta. The event is participatory and free, not a performance. All are welcome. A potluck supper follows the singing, so bring a dish to share. Call 563-6083 or email with questions.

"Faces at the Cross," 7 p.m., presentation of dramatic monologues depicting those who saw the crucifixion; based on the book by the Rev. J. Barrie Shepherd. Midcoast Presbyterian Church, 84 Main St., Topsham. The public is invited.

Good Friday

Hunger Walk to benefit local food pantries: 16-mile walk starts at Casco Village Church at 5:30 a.m. and 8-mile walk starts at Raymond Village Community Church at 8 a.m. A soup and bread lunch will be held at Casco Village Church following the walk.

Prayer Vigil, noon to 3 p.m., with quiet reflection and prayer in the sanctuary. Raymond Village Community Church, 27 Main St., Raymond.

Silent Meditation, noon to 3 p.m., in the sanctuary at Blue Point Congregational Church, 236 Pine Point Road, Scarborough.

Labyrinth Walk, noon to 6 p.m., indoor Chartres-style labyrinth for meditative walks. Allow about 30 minutes. Trinity Episcopal Church, 580 Forest Ave., rear entrance, Portland. Call 772-7421 for more information.

"The Mystic Journey Is Not Just for Mystics," 7 p.m., lecture with Robert Atkinson and held at Portland Friends Meeting House, 1837 Forest Ave., Portland.
