Chris Lyon during a short break between sorting catch from the American Heritage, which according to packers at the Portland Fish Exchange, brought in close to 2,000 pounds of Cod on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. New federal regulation will cap incidental Cod catch to 200 pounds, implemented tomorrow, and also double the amount of haddock commercial fishermen are allowed to catch. Haddock and cod swim in similar locations, and some fishermen say it is nearly impossible to catch haddock without also catching cod.
