FALMOUTH — Two amateur golfers in Maine have defied 17 million-to-1 odds by scoring holes-in-one on the same hole while playing in the same foursome.

Matt Parker, left, of Falmouth and Travis Ferrante of Portland each made a hole-in-one Tuesday on the fourth hole at Portland Country Club. According to Golf Digest, the odds of two golfers in the same foursome accomplishing the feat are 17 million to 1.

The Portland Country Club in Falmouth says Matt Parker of Falmouth hit a hole-in-one Tuesday on the 140-yard fourth hole. After the second golfer in the foursome put his ball within a foot of the cup, Travis Ferrante of Portland followed with a hole-in-one of his own.
It was Parker's first ace, and the second for Ferrante.
According to the National Hole-in-One Registry, the odds of two players from the same foursome acing the same hole are 17 million to 1.
