NH's Pease Tradeport expecting 'banner' year for 2013

The Associated Press

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — Officials at New Hampshire's Pease International Tradeport in Portsmouth say 2013 looks like it's going to be a banner year.

There are at least five different construction projects slated to get under way in 2013 as well as a $3.5 million renovation project at the golf course.

Pease Development Authority Executive Director David Mullen says one major project that's been approved and is ready to begin is phase one of a project that will build a 40,320-square-foot office building.

Another project under way involves the construction of a 17,385-square-foot building that will serve as the new emergency operations center for the NextEra Energy Seabrook nuclear power station.

Mullen tells the Portsmouth Herald that when activity at the tradeport is picking up it's a sign the economy is picking up.
