The Bangor Police Department on Friday identified the three as 26-year-old Daniel Thomas Borders of Hermon; 24-year-old Nicolle Ashley Lugdon of Eddington; and 28-year-old Lucas Alan Tuscano of Bradford.
The causes of death were withheld because the case is under investigation.
The bodies were discovered inside a 2001 white Pontiac sedan early Monday that was burning in the parking lot of a business in Bangor. The vehicle had Rhode Island license plates. It was destroyed by the flames, and the bodies were found inside severely burned.
Police declared the deaths homicides on Wednesday.
