The manager of the Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y., said he has ended negotiations with the Portland Pirates.
"We have broken off talks with (Pirates managing owner and CEO) Brian Petrovek this afternoon as it pertains to moving his team to Albany," Times Union Center general manager Bob Belber told the Portland Press Herald. "We are going in another direction."
The Pirates, who are in lease negotiations with the Cumberland County Civic Center, had been weighing an offer to move the team to Albany.
The team's lease with the county is set to expire on April 30.
