BANGOR — Officials say a 76-year-old Maine man who fell at his home and lay on the floor for four days before a newspaper delivery man called police was near death when he was rescued.
Jerome Mishou of Bangor says he doesn't remember how he fell or his rescue.
Bangor Daily News deliveryman Jody Mackin noticed that Mishou wasn't picking up his papers and that the car was missing from his garage a few weeks ago. So he called police.
Officers found Mishou unconscious at the bottom of the stairs.
Mishou was hospitalized for about 10 days and he's now at a rehabilitation facility waiting to recover enough to go home.
