NAPLES — A Bridgton man has been arrested in connection with a robbery that took place Monday night at a pharmacy in Naples.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said that 26-year-old Anthony G. Mattia of Wayside Drive in Bridgton was charged with robbery, falsifying physical evidence and violating the conditions of his release.
Police allege that Mattia entered the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Roosevelt Trail around 7:22 p.m. and handed a note to the pharmacist demanding prescription narcotics.
Mattia fled the store with an unknown amount of narcotics. About 10 minutes later, Deputy Raymond McIntire stopped Mattia’s vehicle on Route 11 in Casco.
No weapon was displayed during the robbery.
